Your lymphatic system plays an important role in immune function, fluid balance, and your body's natural processes for removing waste. But unlike your circulatory system, the lymphatic system doesn't have a central pump—movement of lymph depends in part on everyday things like breathing and physical activity.
Join Licensed Acupuncturist Teri Cook for an introduction to this fascinating and often-overlooked system and learn simple ways to support healthy lymphatic function at home.
We'll begin with an accessible overview of the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system: what it is, what it does, and why healthy lymphatic movement matters. From there, Teri will explore supportive self-care practices using herbs, food, lifestyle, and gentle physical techniques.
You'll also learn a 10-minute facial gua sha routine that you can incorporate into your own self-care practice. Each participant will receive a gua sha tool to use during the workshop and take home afterward.
You'll leave with a better understanding of your lymphatic system and practical ways to support it as part of your everyday routine.
Space is limited, so advance registration is recommended.
$35 registration fee is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable.
If you are not currently an Encircle Acupuncture patient, you will need to create a patient account before registering for this event.
